1. About this policy

This policy is part of the Terms of Service of ALM MEDIA LLC (“ALM Media”, “we”, “us”). It applies to shoots, productions and other bookings with ALM Media. If your signed or accepted proposal says something different, your proposal wins.

2. Booking your date

Your date is booked once you have accepted the job (by signing the proposal in our client portal, paying the deposit or confirming in writing) and we have received the deposit. The deposit is 50% of the total fee, unless your quote says otherwise.

3. If you cancel

• More than 7 days before the shoot: we keep the deposit.
• 2 to 7 days before the shoot: we keep the deposit, and you also pay any costs we have already spent or committed (such as crew, equipment, venues, talent and permits).
• Less than 48 hours before the shoot, or if you do not show up: 100% of the total fee is due.

Times are counted from when we receive your cancellation in writing, in UAE time.

4. Moving your date

Every change of date has a fee: any costs already spent that cannot be recovered, plus 10% of the total fee. Your new date depends on availability.

5. Events nobody controls

If extreme weather, a government order, a permit change, serious illness or another event beyond anyone’s control stops the shoot, we move it to a new date without the 10% fee. You pay only costs already spent that cannot be recovered.

6. If we cancel

If ALM Media has to cancel (for example because of a crew problem or illness), you choose: a new date, or a full refund of everything you have paid for that job.

7. Shoot day length and overtime

The length of a shoot day and how overtime is billed are set out in your quote.

8. Stopping a project halfway

If you stop a project after work has started, you pay for all the work done up to that point, plus costs already spent. Your deposit counts towards this amount.

9. Changes to what we agreed

New ideas after the plan is approved (such as extra locations, scenes, formats or versions) are always quoted first. We start them only after you approve the quote in writing.

10. Retainers, courses and workshops

Monthly retainers can be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice. Online courses and workshops can be refunded within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. See our Terms of Service.
